Fabulous antique marquetry flip top inlaid card/game table, great condition, circa 1860. The table top is very ...finely inlaid with fruit-wood marquetry depicting the arts; books, manuscripts paints & paint palettes, around the borders is the most wonderful marquetry frieze of flowers & birds with scrolling garlands. The top opens & turns to reveal a dark Burgundy baize playing surface, the table stands on a fluted baluster pedestal & terminates to four carved legs having the original casters/wheels. The table is in excellent condition & measures 30" (76cm) tall x 35" (89cm) wide x 17.5" (44.5cm) deep & 35" (89cm) deep when open. Condition is really excellent and the quality of the marquetry inlay is outstanding!
