Conan the Barbarian #1Origin & 1st appearance of Conan in comics - Classic Barry Smith art - 1st brief appearance of Kull - 1970 - Key - Overstreet Guide value in VFN = $182/£145 & VFN+ = $290/£23099p START & NO RESERVEA lovely and fresh high grade US cents issue. The comic is complete, lies flat and is tight to both staples. Interior pages are nice and supple and white. The spine is virtually stress free. The cover's surface is bright, white, glossy a...nd indentation free. There are just a few signs of some very minor general wear. The comic would grade even higher but for a small 4mm tear/scuff to the spine, at the top staple (possibly a bindery defect/caused at the time of production, as the staple is slightly misshapen at the point of entry where the crescent tear is). There are no creases or other rips, tears, chips, stains, stamps, pen marks, tape repairs or signs of restoration. A lovely looking early Bronze Age Marvel Key in I'd say at least Very Fine, more likely Very Fine+ condition (8/8.5).STRICT GRADING I've been collecting comics for over 40 years.
