Tag says : "Type 8-11 Specification No. 3178, SIZE 38, Stock No. 8300-541705, Contract No. (W30-053) AS.98, Fitzwell Sportswear Inc, Property : Air Force , US Army.
This jacket is Army green. The inside feels like fake fur. The hood fe...els like cotton fur. The hood has a draw string and a buckle on the top. There is a pad around the back of the neck that can be unbuckled and re-buckled on the front to protect your neck. There is an emblem printed on the left shoulder that has the Army Air Force insignia and says "Army Air Forces". There are four large pockets on the front : two on the hips and two on the breast. There are no inside pockets. There is a loop on the inside back to hang it up. It has a long metal zipper in front with leather pull tabs. There are five big buttons on front to cover the zipper. The back is gathered around the waste. There are thin pads on each shoulder with buttons. The cuffs each have a small buckle. This is very heavy : 5 pounds, 8 ounces !!!! The zipper works perfectly. All the buttons work fine.
This jacket is in excellent condition. No stains, no wear, no tears, no holes, and no smell. No wear on the cuffs or elbows.
