For sale we have a Antique Printing Press S.W. Lowes Patent July 29, 1856 Civil War Era Ultra Rare. It has a chip on the base I took a close up photo of it (Please see the last photo). Other than that I did not see any other damage. It measures 18" long and 6 1/2" wide. The handle moves freely. Presses like this were used during the civil war to print military orders in the field. This is an extremely rare press. I was not able to find an example of one of these that has sol...d. I did find a few on museum websites like the Henry Ford Museum. I am starting this auction at 99 cents with no reserve.
