A VINTAGE ARMY & NAVY CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LTD, LONDON, THE ARECA NUT TOOTHPASTE, SOLDIER & SAILOR PICTORIAL, POT LID, POTLID & BASE POT from the c1900's period which has been found buried in a domestic rubbish tip a few years ago. The lid measures 7.8cm in diameter and with the pot is 4cm high when in position on the base. The lid is in GOOD FAIR CONDITION being white and clean with full gloss sheen to the glazed surface, part pf the gol...d band is still present, there are no cracks or hairlines, the highly detailed strongly printed transfer is crystal clear showing every detail, there two chips or flakes on the side of the flange at 4 'clock and a two small nicks on the flange side edge at 12 o'clock, the base or pot which is not the original but fits quite well is clean with no cracks or hairlines, there is faint glaze cracking caused by over 100 years of burial and a tarnish stain near the base edge and flange that is to the rear of the pot. I am quite happy to combine purchases for buyers to help save on postage and shipping costs.
