Anothergreat Japanese tin car in the original box by Nomura (TN). This hard to find1968 Ford Torino GT fastback measures approximately 16" long (40.6 cm) by4.5” tall (11.4 cm) and 6" wide (15.2 cm) and it comes with the originalbox. This is a terrific looking big tin carwith dual fender mount mirrors, yellow green plastic headlights and slottedartillery style lithographed hubcaps. The bright showroom red paint looks great. There are no touchups butthere are a few sca...ttered abrasions and rubs. It is possible that the top has beenrepainted, but if has, it is an exceptional job of color and patina matching. Thecolorful red, yellow and blue interior is terrific and is probably one of themost colorful interiors ever. This cardemands attention when setting on the shelf. The car features detailed tin trim along withplastic headlamps; lithographed tail lamps, tin grill and door handles whichare in outstanding condition. The celluloid windshield is original and verynice. The rear celluloid window looks to be a replacement. The baseplate is totally original and thefriction works, as it should. This car is really impressive and displaysbeautifully. Ron Smith and William C. Gallagher's "The Big Book of Tin Toy Cars" rates this car a 7 interms of rarity, with a very high dollar value.
