*Civil War Era Kolbe Amputation Surgery Kit Shipped with USPS Priority *This is an original 19th century amputation kit used by a physician by the name of George G Harmon ., Huntingdon, PA* The wooden case measures 15 1/2 inches long by 5 inches deep and 3 inches tall.* The wooden case has the original key with functionIng lock mechanism and brass inlay. One of the four brass bands is missing on the top, and the fourth brass band is bent at an upward angle. Please see photos * The inte...rior is red velvet and brass.*. The kit includes a set of four razor-sharp knives, 2 hook utensils, a saw, a set of pliers, a set of tweezers, and a serrated knife.* also included in the kit is a brass clamp, several needles for suturing, 4 cardboard spools of surgeons dyed silk thread, and original hand penned business card wIth an original envelope with Dr. Harmon‘s name and address. * each tool is marked Kolbe or Kolbe Phila *THIS KIT IS IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, no replacement tools.
