Spectacular 19th Century Greenish~Blue Painted Buttock Basket.Both ends have original flower motif painted in red/green/yellow (some age related fading).I've collected baskets for the past 40 years, this one has got to be one of the BEST baskets I've ever owned.It is coming out of my private collection, never offered for sale before this auction.The weaving is in tight fabulous shape with double rolled rim.The size is nice, measures 13" across with a 12" opening.The depth is 12" with 1...1" opening. 9 1/2" tall (including handle).It's difficult to capture the beautiful color in these photos.The sun washes out the color but look at all photos to get a better idea of how fabulous the color truly is.EXCELLENT CONDITION.
