HOCK HOCKING VALLEY BREWERY, INC. Hock Hocking beer tap knob or handle. Nelsonville, Ohio home of Sarah Jessica Parker and Hock Hocking Beer. This one is about as rare as they come. Bought this over 30 years ago along with a Hock Hocking neon sign. The knob is larger than most. It's approx 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide across the enamel insert. It's made in a two piece plastic mold. The enamel is a deep blood win...e red which doesn't come out particularly well in the photo. There's a manafacturers mark at the base that says Utica, N.Y. and Trade MArk along with a triangle with a couple of letters inside the triangle that I can't make out. Historical research says that the Indian is Chief Logan, leader of the Mingo tribe that once inhabited the region. The brewery opened in 1905 and operated until the beginning of Prohibition producing nearly 20, 000 kegs per year in it's heyday. I believe the brewery was only open after Prohibition from 1947-1949. There's a very small nick at the base of the know which is pictured in one of the photos otherwise pristine. Unconditionally guaranteed. I'm like CarMax....................you can return it for any reason even if you suddenly become allergic to ultra rare Ohio tap knobs after you receive it.
