Vintage Louisville Stoneware Pottery porcelain pig meat cover serving piece. Made in Kentucky. Fits most larger meat platters. No to be used for hotter temperatures. This beautifully made pig mold is very detailed with high gloss, approximately 16" x 7 12" overall, oval base approximately 11 1/2" x 14". Lovely condition with no cracks, on the base there is an imperfection which looks like a sliver chip, but may be a... mfg. imperfection, in no way does it take away from this impressive meat cover dish. Very useful still or use it for display on sideboard, hutch or centerpiece, whichever, it will be an interesting conversation piece, hard to find Louisville Stoneware piece. Thanks for looking.
