Really acts as a small mixing bowl for muffins, cornbread, pancakes, salad for 4... The McCarty’s began making their famous pottery in the 1950’s. All McCarty Pottery is made by hand from Mississippi Mud. This Mississippi made genuine McCarty Pottery can be identified by the trademarked “river”, a small black wavy line representing t...he Mississippi River, and/or by the signature. When a piece has a glazed edge as this one does, there is no river mark.
