This chronometer is a quality rare antique C1941 American single fusee marine chronometer of 2 day duration in excellent condition, its certainly all original, the clock is complimented by having its original carry display case which it sits perfectly into, it has a leather carry strap and a hook catch to hold it shut and has also got the matching makers and serial number plaques. It is a rare Hamilton Model No 21 and was made for the war with an earlyish serial number and not made after the war
The chronometer comes with its double hinged opening box which has its latch lock which is in perfect working order, the top hinged door also has a latch lock on it which with both of them you push the button across The mahogany case has an absolutely beautiful colour and patina to it with the brass corner bounding, the case is in stunning original condition which will be a talking point in any ones home The clock also comes with its original instruction manual which is a nice touch, this clock is absolutely totally original and all original to each other, you would be hard pushed to find another like this in such amazing condition and in such complete condition THE DIAL The silvered dial is totally original with the power reserve dial to top which runs down with the movement and tells you how many hours left before winding. The dial also features a 1/2 second beating regulation subs seconds dial to bottom with original hands. The dial is signed to centre with the makers name Hamilton and the serial number impressed 7489 and the date C1941 THE MOVEMENT The movement is a quality Hamilton American 2 day marine chronometer movement with fusee Barrel and compensated Earnshaw helical spring detent escapement with maintaining power and bi metallic compensated balance. The escapement is in perfect working order and the movement runs smoothly and keeps dead accurate time as you would expect from a chronometer, the clock comes with its original winding key
The movement is in full working order keeping good time as it should as you can see in the video above

If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
