ITEM: This is a c. late 1920s - early 1930s vintage and original, large format studio portrait photograph of Hollywood actress Dorothy Dix. This is a glamorous view of the star photographed from behind to better show off the bare, low-cut back of her dress. With short, waved hair and a slinky dress, Dix is the picture of late 1920s flapper beauty!
Measures 10.75" x 14" on a matte, double weight paper stock.

Dorothy Dix was the sister of 'western' character film actor Tex Harding, birth name John Thye. She was approximately 8 years older than her brother John. She stopped making films in 1936 after her mother's death. She never had any children. Her sister Marie Louise Thye also did some uncredited work in the industry.
