DOCTOR WHO THE DALEKS’ MASTER PLANEPISODE 12: DESTRUCTION OF TIMEDENNIS SPOONER PERSONAL SCRIPTThis is an original BBC camera script from the 1965/66 Doctor Who serial, The Daleks’ Masterplan. Following production, it was retained by story writer, Dennis Spooner, for his personal archive. Spooner penned 5 of the 12 episodes which made up this highly regarded serial broadcast at the tail end of “Dalekmania”.Prior to his death in 1986, Spooner passed a number of his William Hartn...ell scripts including this one on to a group of professional Doctor Who fans who had made contact with him.I have owned the script since 2014 when I purchased it directly from The Prop Gallery, a well respected dealer in film and television props and production used items.Comprising 41 pages of dialogue script (see photos), the camera and stage directions provide wonderful insight into what was captured by Douglas Camfield’s cameras on the evening of Friday, January 14 1966. The camera script also contains a cast list and two pages of running order which break the production down.The script is type written on cream foolscap sized paper and measures approximately 13” x 8”. This was a standard imperial paper size in common use at the BBC in the 1960’s, prior to the introduction of A4 paper. Condition is excellent throughout with just minor creasing and edge wear. Please note the front and back pages have detached from the main body of the script.Included in the auction is a certificate of authenticity provided to me by The Prop Gallery in 2014.
