Theseare one of the nicest pair of Palais Royal opera glasses I've everowned, finished in gilded brass, plain white mother of pearl, andselected mother of pearl nacre, stamped 'PALAISE ROYAL No 6 - LEMIEREBREV DU ROI' I think that Lemiere are makers to the king.
Theyhave a swing aside handle, the lenses are clear, magnification isexcellent, and the adjustment is smooth....I think they are early foropera glasses, and guess circa 1840
