On 14-May-19 at 21:45:27 BST, seller added the following information:
DIMENSIONSHeight: - 6 cm (2 4/8 inches)
Width: - 28 cm (11 inches)
Weight: - 1.47 Kg (3.2 lb / 51.7 oz)
CONDITION: Good Original Condition with beautiful bright turquoise glaze with fine incised decoration. - No Repairs, No Restorations, No Chips, No Hairlines, No Breaks, just general scuffs and scratches to the interior, as you would expect from a piece of this period. There are three, 5 claw dragons chasing flaming pearls; two are on the outside rim and the third is on the interior. - Please note this large antique Chinese censer was made during the Qing dynasty and is NOT a modern copy. There is a shrinkage line in the porcelain on the exterior, running 9 cm parallel to the rim, this is original and would have happened when the piece was first fired in the kiln. It should also be noted that there is a 3 mm piece of grit (a small stone) under the turquoise glaze, clearly shown in my 9th photograph. - It is rare these days to find such a large censer of this type without damage. I have only seen one other example in the past 30 or so years (I think it was at Bonhams auction house in London), that example had been broken in 3 places and restored. The censer being auctioned here has no damage. - Good luck!
