Vintage Rittenhouse Art Deco 620R Wall Mount 4 Chime Doorbell / No Chime Tubes
Item History & Price
Created in an Art Deco “Queen Anne” style of solid cherry wood and mahogany veneer, this beautiful doorbell features an elegant and unusual mechanism of a rotating arm that sweeps across the contacts like the hand on a clock, triggering the chimes in sequence for a selection of melodies.
Capable of also chiming for a rear entrance and a side door, this doorbell was the Cadillac of its time, and has a telechron clock on its face to tell the time.
In working order but n...eeding help with one solenoid and a general once over, this piece is being sold for parts or repair only as I have not had it installed so I cannot say anything about its accuracy in working.
Found in the basement of an Atlanta estate, this piece actually did come from one of the “grand” old homes of the South, but it’s chime tubes were nowhere to be seen.
Perfect for a restoration project for your own home or to scavenge for parts, this piece without a shipping box or packing materials weighs 8 pounds.
