Antique Marine Chronometer By Clerke , Royal Exchange , London. Interesting item , precision time instrument untested the levers on the machine appear to be working the pictures show the bottom lever in both working positions which seem to free the escapement wheel the turning knob on the side moves the marker hand and the smaller lever appears to be the start and stop , comes with what looks to be the original key and the original baise lined oak box which has a snap shut locking mech...anism the leather carry strap is broken the instrument is 5 inches diameter , unpolished and in original condition
