This is a geniune, Civil War era, 50 cent note. It was issued by the US Treasury, on March 3, 1863.This note is circulated with folds and a couple of small edge nips. The upper right and lower left corner are rounded. The note is approximately 4 1/2" X 2".The note is free of rips, tears and stains.Colors are good.I do not know how to grade paper money, so I will let you be the final judge of its condition.Printed when the outcome of the Civil War was still in dou...bt, this note would be and excellent addition to a collection of Civil War memorabilia, or a collection of Civil War fractional currency.
