THE CLOCKThis is a beautiful French 8day bronze ormolu empire mantle clock dating to around 1880, the clock has some very beautiful details within the raised pierced embossed patternation to the front, bronze floral mounts all over the clock, to the top there is a beautiful bronze figure sitting holding a pen and a book. Quality clock with a lot of fine detail which would be a real head turner in any room. Date: 1870’s Height: 14 inches Width: 10 inches Depth...: 5 inchesDIALThe dial is white enamel porcelain with bold black Roman numerals and black spade hands.The dial has got a couple of airlines to the right hand side but hardly noticable. MOVEMENTThe clock has a French 8 day twin train bell striking movement which strikes the half and full hour counting the hours. The movement is fully working and has just undergone an oil service.
