MYSTERY CLOCK FOUR GLASS REGULATOR CLOCK
FRENCH 19th CENTURY CLOCK.
C1890.
LOW START WITH NO RESERVE.
Originating in France, this mystery clock has beenoverhauled, works and runs well.
Striking on both the hour and half hour as the cherub seated on the swing rocks backwardsand forwards taking the place of the left to right swinging pendulum.
The backwards and forwards movement of the spring captures the imaginationand makes this... style of clock stand out from the normal pendulum clock.
Purchased in Lyon, France, many years ago it has been in our home, running andkeeping good time.
DAMAGE; The glass is fine. The metal framing of the classare not bowed or bent. There is nothing amiss with the movement.
There are a couple of chips out of the marble on the base, as photographed.They were there when the clock was purchased andcould be repaired.
