Rare Vintage Hermes Beach or Floor Mat “Tigres dans lesHerbes” by Joachim Metz This is an authentic and very hard to find beach orfloor mat. This iconic model is known as “Tigres dans les Herbes” and wasdesigned by Joachim Metz (first edition 1979). This model is made of heavy and thick 100%cotton and is referred to as “pagne”. It is not made of the usual terry cloth materiallike other Hermes beach towels or beach mats. It canbe used as a pareo or as a beach mat.This i...tem measures approx. 90 cm x 140 cm (35 ½” x 75”) and weighs 245 grams.The colors are indigo, medium and light blue, orange, light yellow and mustard.This pagne is gently used, in very good vintage condition. The colorsare still vivid, there are no stains or tears. The only imperfections are somevery faint folding/fading lines and 3 tiny (1mm) holes (see last pictures).
