A very fine Antique Chinese ewer or water pot standing circa 19 cm tall and in excellent condition. The pear-shaped lidded vessel has been decorated on its exterior with meandering and scrolling foliage in underglaze blue and with diapers flanking vignettes containing fish-like forms, around the neck. The sweeping spout and slender wavy handle are similarly embellished in underglaze blue. The vessel bears no marks on the base and appears to be decorated in the Ming style..., however I suspect that it is a 19th century product.
