Vintage Oxford Scofield Reference Bible KJV Leather Silk Sewn India Paper LNIB. This Bible has a semi-yapp leather cover, but the type is not noted. It is very soft and supple, though. My best guess is that it is split calfskin and looks and feels every bit like it. This Bible was purchased by an Engineering officer serving aboard the USS Battleship California during WWII. The ship berthed occasionally in Brisbane and this Bible was purchased there in 1944, was brought home and stored ...away in a chest in the sailor’s home for decades, until several years ago. It is in remarkably beautiful condition for it’s age, with supple leather covers, beautiful gold over red page edges and creamy white pages. It has one silk ribbon. The original box is included, as is the original purchase receipt. Condition is Like New. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
