SimpichCharacter dolls are hand-made dolls made in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The head, hands, and boots are sculpted andpainted. In the 1980’s and1990’s there were up to 100 craftspeople making these dolls. They closed their shop in 2007 and make nonew dolls. The wife, who helped designthe clothing has passed away and the husband is in his nineties. Leprechaun:Signed by Robert Simpich the creator of the Simpich collection in 1987. Leprechaun has ...redbeard and red hair, and green outfit. The luck of Irish is with this class Leprechaun. He is similar in size to the Simpich elves, but it mounted on a wood base with a pot of gold. Excellent condition with 1chip on right foot. 8” x 3.75”Stored in glass case in home with no pets and no smoking.
