CANADA 1910 superb early cover to GB w/1903 comp KEVII set to 50c, rare pieceAn incredible cover franked with the entire KEVII 1903-1908 set, plus the 2c imperf and the Victorian ½c Maple Leaf value from 1898. the total rate paid being 97½c, 90c over the normal rate in 1910 which would have been 7½c. Each stamp is cancelled with the MONTREAL (RAILWAY) STATION postmark 7th July 1910. In addition on the back is a Montreal broken circle cancel for the same day, plus a LIVERPOO...L 'registered' oval for the 14th July 191 (only a week later, transatlantic). The other important feature of this amazing cover is the distinctive pink EXPERIMENTAL registration box, and number #156, apparently only used at Montreal and ONE OTHER TOWN for a very short period (said to be a few weeks) - this and the franking making this an exceptionally rare piece and a very interesting Canadian cover. An outstanding 'blue moon' item, and in great condition for 109 years old. Also on stationery from the St James club Montreal. See scans.
