I purchased this miniature basket from a vast collection of PRIMITIVE GOODS, MUSEUM~Civil War ERA~ DECESSION Sale in Virginia, just over 15 years ago. A small attached cataloguing tag said it was made in 1865 by Elle. Johnson, age 16, the daughter of a civil war Era~ GENERAL. The tag on the reverse has a inventory number and the name... of the family who donated the miniature basket. An amazing AUTHENTIC, Virginia Made ~Miniature ~ 1 EGG/BUTTOCKS basket from the civil war era. To add TO YOUR OWN AMAZING COLLECTION OF ~ Antique, Primitive Collection of BASKETS!!!! Sold as is, with a fine, all naturally occurring PATINA(though the pictures do it NO JUSTICE!!) DAMAGE FREE!!
