Up for auction is a rare incunabula leaf from the 3rd edition in Latin of the early medical text Hortus Sanitatis (Garden of Health), printed by Jacob Meydenbach in Mainz, Germany, in 1497.  There are several interesting woodcuts present, including one of a snake with a human head.  Despite some minor staining, this attractive incunabula leaf is in good condition.  It measures approx. 11 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches.
