This is a beautiful, rare Amish 3d hand-carved painting by Sam Zook, of the Kinzers, Pennsylvania, Zook family.  Sam Zook is the son of Aaron Zook, one of the Zook brothers that are so identified with this style of deep carving.  I tried to capture the depth of the carved figures through the photos.  This is wood-carved in deep relief.  It is quite heavy, I'm estimating around 15 lbs.
The size of the frame is 17 5/8" square, with the inner image measuring at 13 1.../8" square.  The depth of the frame, not including the carving that extends beyond the frame, is 2 1/8".  
This came into my possession 15-20 years ago, I am not sure of the date it was made, but probably around that time.
It was brought to my attention that not accepting returns does not allow for damage occurring during shipment.  I will of course accept a return for any damage occurring during shipment.  Additionally I will insure the painting at my cost when I ship, so everyone is covered should there be an unfortunate problem during shipping.
