...Abe Rich made his Florida cues from scratch and hand-turned all of his cues. He did not use any automated machinery for making his cues; he was the last "Old School" Woodturner/Cuemaker. Abe hand selected all lumber from the Marshall Exotic Lumber company that Balabushka, Zambotti, Paradise used. Abe made cues under the name Florida Cues from 1965 until 1973. That year, he moved his company to Miami Beach and changed its name to Star Cue. His cues are coveted by collectors and players worldwide. Willie Mosconi, Minnesota Fats, and Jackie Gleason all owned Abe's Cues. Abe Rich was a unique individual who Took so much pride in His great cues that he was inducted into "The International Cue Makers Hall of Fame". Abe Rich passed away in November of 2008 at 83 years old, and this cue comes from his shop. This cue is highly desirable and very collectible.
