Rare Stanley No. 46 Type 2 Combination Plane with Depth Stop and Cutters.... Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS First Class Package.The Stanley Combination Plane is different from the somewhat more common Stanley 45, for example in that the cutters are set on a skew. Type 2 was offered from 1874 to 1875. This Stanley 46 up for auction is a complete Type 2 in all respects including the 10 original cutters in their original box (see photos). This includes eight plow and dado cutters, one fillist...er cutter and one tonguing cutter (The Stanely Plane, Alvin Sellers, Copyright 1975 page 76).The Combination Plane is in excellent condition and all original with no missing parts and with a very nice original Japanning. The main source I used in identifying the plane as a Stanley 46 Type 2 is the 885 page "bible" of Stanley tools Antique and Collectible Stanley Tools by John Walter 2nd edition copyright 1996, The Tool Merchant, Marietta, Ohio. The Stanley No. 46 Type 2 is described in detail on pages 392-393 and pages 734-737. Most of the features of the Type 2 are the same as the Type 1 including the six large brass screws without slots and the handle with the words "Trauts Patent, March 4, '73" (see photo 7).160 The main difference is the height of the sliding section (lower in the Type 1).160 The sliding section and guard plate are complete, all original and perfect condition. The ground flat areas including the cast iron depth stop, which like the guard plate are frequently missing, are present and all original (see photos). As described by Walter on page 393 only one depth stop is present and this was provided by Stanley however provision is made to use it in the main body (see photo 4 and 5) or the sliding section.All in all a rare Stanley No. 46 Type 2 in excellent condition for use or display. Stanley Bedrock No 604 12 C Smooth Plane Type 3 1900-08 Restored Tuned. Stanleys largest smoother. It has been restore and this one needed it. While complete it had zero japanning left. All parts are original, and have been restored. 100 new black japanning. No breaks crack chips or repairs to the body or frog. The rosewood tote and knob are free of cracks chips or repairs. Both have been re-lacquered and then hand polished to a silky smooth feel. Tote and knob have tool box dings from 120 years... of use. The mouth is good no chips cracks or alterations. Lateral lever has the 7-24-88 pat. Frog and lever cap has the B casting mark. Iron has the Q trade mark. The small tote screw and the frog adjustment tab and screw have been gun blued as would have been done at the factory. The sole has been lightly lapped, the iron lever cap and chip breaker have been lapped at contact points with the iron to ensure a firm seat and reduce chatter. The iron has been lapped flat on the back and then honed with a 10, 000 grit Ohishi Water Stone, Scary Sharp and makes see through shavings in black cherry and leaves a finish as smooth as glass. The edges of the iron have been relieved to prevent those pesky plane tracks. All screws move freely and have been lightly oiled. Any questions feel free to ask

RARE Stanley Bailey No8c Type 8 Corrugated Jointer Plane B Casting 2 Patd dates. All original parts. Will make a great user, or collectable. Offering a vintage Stanley No 10 12 corrugated plane. Found at a sale about 10 years ago, it is complete and in good working order. It measures 8 34'' long and 2 18'' wide. The rosewood knob and tote are excellent some light scratching but no hairlines or repairs- very nice. There are five "B" casting marks: on the frog, plane body, adjusting "yoke", lever cap and the thumb lever. Sure seems like this old plane has all it's original parts. The lever cap is in good shape, the blade measures 6 12'...' long and most of the original japanning is intact. There is a 7-24-88 date on the lateral lever and a squared off adjusting wheel - never seen that before - but it looks original and functions well. As shown, the previous owner put his initials on one side. Just a very good example of this rare model. Please e-mail with any questions. There some minor pitting on the sole as well. The sides of the plane has some pitting. There are scuffs and scratches. There are no cracks or repairs to the body. The knob of the plane is solid with some dents and dings. The rear handle has a major repair to it. It is solid, but the new owner may want... to replace the rear handle. The lever cap is good with no chips. The blade and chip breaker are good. The japanning is dirty, dusty. It about 80 intact. Please see pictures for condition. Ask questions before you bid. Beautiful Stanley No 2. With just a little work this could be near perfect.Japanning is 99 (could be refinished, but if so then they did a superior job).Handle is stunning.A little light tarnishing and some pitting on bottom - could probably be lapped out if you so desire.

Today out of a local estate I am listing this Stanley wood plane. It is about 7 long and was found in the basement with a few other planes I will be listing. It is marked No. 2 on the front. I dont see any other markings on the blade or plane, other than the 3 pieces pictured and marked with an S. It is in good condition and would be a good user plane. Stanley No.2 Plane - Scarce 8" Length Type 19 - Very Good ConditionThis plane has been in mycollection for quite a while. I was going to restore it to new condition butafter cleaning out my collection and finding another, I decided to passthis along.Circa 1955 - 1961. This isthe last production model of the StanleyNo. 2, and it is the more scarce 8" (in length) version. It comes toyou just the way I found it - all I did was dust it off a little. This plane is about asgood as they come - 95 of th...e japanned finish remains. The varnish onthe handle and knob are good. There is some minor wear on the handle asshown. The front knob is very good with no chips or dings.The plane has been wellcared for - there is patina and discoloration as shown but no pitting and no surface rust or damage of any kind. Theblade and chip breaker have a patina coating that would mostly polishoff. The lever cap has all of its nickelplating and will polish up very nicely There is a small bit of surface discoloration onthe bottom left side of the cap, most of which should polish off if you choose. The cutter is not sharp but it too has 95 of its original length left. This plane must have beenused a bit and there is a patina on the sole. The adjust knob istarnished but has all of its original finish as do the screws which secure theknob and handle.This is a scarce plane andit is in very good condition and with a little TLC clean up to be excellent. Stanley plane 2. Plane has some issues. The front knob is cracked off at the bottom. Lever cap breaker and cutter have some rust but are functional. Breaker look filed. Tote not cracked, not even on the horn. Sole and sides are rust colored but not what I would call pitting. Right side has a couple of small chips or owner marks. Thank you and have a good day.

Some loss on the toe and the sides.Mouth is in great shape.The body is rust and crack free. There is surface staining throughout.Knob is perfect. This is a Stanley Bailey No. 4 12 corrugated bottom plane wood working carpentry tool Type 13 SW. The plane has been repainted. This plane has been derusted sides and bottom. This does have light stainingpitting on the sides all from normal everyday use. All the hardware is clean and coated with carnauba paste wax. There is light pitting on the chip breaker and iron. The iron has been sharpened by hand with a Veritas MK II at 25 degrees through 4 grits including extra fine diamond stones.
