ANTIQUE CHINESE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS BUDDHA QIANLONG MARK AND PERIOD. This beautiful figure of Amitayus is dated 1770 and bears a Qianlong mark.160 Much of the original gilding is present making this a very eye catching example. It measures roughly 7 38" tall by 4 12" by 3 12" and weighs 836.5 grams. It is in generally fine condition with only the mandorla missing and some bending to the crown which could probably be fixed. According to an inscription under the base 10000 of these were... ordered made by the emperor Qianlong as gifts. This piece comes from an estate in California.
