Vintage IBM Transnote 2675 With Leather Cover, Pen And Recovery Disc

WELCOME TO THE AUCTION!!!  Up for sale is a beautiful IBM TRANSNOTE THINKPAD 2675.  This Transnote is in WORKING CONDITION.  Included in this auction is the IBM SEALED RECOVERY DISC. Also included is AN ORIGINAL PEN, PORT EXTENDER, DIGITAL PEN USER GUIDE, PORT EXTENDER USER GUIDE, AND AC CORD.  Also included in the auction is an ORIGINAL 100% LEATHER IBM PORTFOLIO COMPUTER COVER. The leather shows some use, but it is not torn or ripped.  The portfolio... computer cover appears to be FACTORY MADE FOR THE TRANSNOTEl! The tag on the portfolio cover reads “PO 202442; PART #TPTL01-1.0 100% LEATHER MADE IN CHINA” On the other side of the tag, it reads: CUSTOMER SERVICE #  U.S.A. 800 995 4715”. The Transnote’s memory has been upgraded to 320 MB. THE TRANSNOTE HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO WINDOWS XP.                         -0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0                                     IBM TRANSNOTE DESCRIPTION The IBM ThinkPad Transnote, combined a notebook computer with a digital writing tablet. The powerful package sold for about $3, 000 (list). Open the Transnote and you see a 10.4-inch SVGA active-matrix LCD on one side and a pad of paper with a stylus in a docking bay on the other. You take notes with the included pen via IBM's Ink Manager Pro software, and they are saved as image files that can then be converted to TIFF or PDF format for e-mail attachments. If you tell thepad when you change pages, each page's image will be saved separately. You can organize your notes intodifferent categories and add keywords for search and retrieval. The program links with the calendar in Lotus Organizer (part of the included Lotus Smart Suite), so you can recall notes you had taken at a specific time. When you run out of paper, just slip in any pad of ordinary paper. The Transnote's 2MB of memory lets you record upto 50 handwritten pages without booting up the computer; you can transfer your notes later. If you'd rather type, just lift the screen to access the keyboard hidden beneath. The key pitch is a bit smallerthan standard, but the keyboard has a good touch. A typical ThinkPad TrackPoint provides control over the mouse pointer. The Transnote is an excellent presentation tool: Just flip the screen over, press a button, and the image inverts to right side up so that it is readable for others across from you. The notebook has many ports, including Mini PCI, CompactFlash, PC Card (Type I andType II only), Ethernet, phone, audio in and out, and even infrared. The system came with a 600-MHz PentiumIII processor with SpeedStep technology, a 10GB hard drive, 320MB of memory, aninternal fax modem, and an ATI Mobility graphics chip with 4MB of displaymemory. The unit's lithium ion battery was originally rated for 2.5 hours. Youdon't get a CD-ROM drive, but external drives were available as options.
