Brass O Scale Locomotive, Unpainted, Boxed ~1950-60s, Japanese. Condition is Used. My father owned a Hobby Shop from 1953-1980. He told me 40 years ago that he bought this Brass Locomotive while at the Chicago Toy and Hobby Show. I can’t remember if said it was in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. I can see no brand name. Open to suggestion on where I might look.
I remember seeing this on display as far back as the late 1960’s. He’s gone and it’s time to move this onto a ...collector who will appreciate it. It has never run as far as I know. Several pieces are loose (see photos). It has rested in this original wooden box for decades. I’m gonna sell this as an auction with a starting rice of $300 and no reserve after threat bid is met.
