This is a hard to find 1860 Old Virginia Smoke tobacco tin made by the S. A. ILSLEY Co. of New York back in thelate 1890's. Graphics feature Polk Miller and his banjo playing Chum Henry. This tin does NOT show up for salevery often at all. The litho has a few SMALL touch up spots scattered here and there but has been done years ago and thepaint matches perfectly and is well done. This does not detract from the beauty of this tin. ILSLEY tin maker is stampe...don the bottom and printed in the litho of the back edge surface of the lid. Measures 4" tall by 3 3/4" by 2 3/8".
