This is a fantastic very very rare impressive early antique English original 8 day 8 bell and moon phase musical longcase clock with all the features you would like to see from a top quality 18th century grandfather clock. This is a C1750 - 1790 longcase clock by Charles Horwood of Bristol all in full working order and all original with dial, movement and case all belonging to each other This is a complicated movement having an 8 bell musical movement as well as the early starry night moonphase dial and also an indicator to moon face showing all the tidal water activity at bristol key which shows you when the tides are high very very nice feature and not often seen

The case has a flat top design to the sliding removable hood with a hinged glazed door which protects the original brass and silvered dial with glazed panels on the sides. The case also has a stunning patina and colour to the mahogany which can only be acquired through age with its original working lock and key to trunk door Over the face of the case there are various marquetry inlaid decorations to the mahogany case which are all of the highest quality and in excellent condition as i'm sure you can see in the pictures The mahogany case has a superb beautiful patina and colour to it which can only be acquired through age and looks very good as i am sure you can see from the pictures. Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember this before bidding. Most clocks will be ok and will not need any additional adjustments but please bear in mind this may not be the case. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. For your piece of mind we test all our clocks here before they are sent out and any issues are either sorted or described in the add, the clock will not have any problems as they are tested vigorously before sending. Please read my full terms and conditions by clicking on the returns tab above.
