Listed here is a nice and rare pair of Chinese lotus shoes for bound feet. This style of binding is found in Shanxi province. This is a good pair with simple embroidery in more of a folk type style. They measure 4 7/8ths inches long. The soles are quilted which is typical of this type. Please note the back blue portion of the shoe and observe the "slats". These are small pieces of bamboo that were sewn in and oversewn to add support and anchor the shoe on the foot. This is also v...ery typical of this regions bound feet shoes. Overall all in very nice condition please see the photos. Please ask all questions before bidding. This type of shoe does not show up often in the collecting arena so a good opportunity to add an example to your collection. Buyer pays all shipping costs. Shipping by USPS Priority Mail.
