Offered here is Leica 1 (A) with Leitz Elmar 3.5 lens. This is a five digit serial number camera #53133. Certainly not perfect cosmetically but is still very presentable, probably a 6 or 7 out of 10. The top cover plate has relatively little brassing, with the bottom cover exhibiting a bit more. The body leather has a noticeable split on the back and a less noticeable crack on the front in line with two of the screws.Best of all however, it is still functional.&...nbsp; The focal plane shutter works at all settings and the shutter cloth is without any tears or splits. The Elmar lens is relatively clear and doesn’t show any fungus trails from either end. Basically, this is a nice old collectible Leica that one can appreciate as both a conversation piece and usable piece of gear. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
