Ask other projector sellers to see the INSIDE of what they're selling. Here's why:
If you're buying one of these that hasn't been fully serviced, you're almost certainly buying 50 year-old gear grease which has thickened into something like orange candle wax. This old grease WILL cause you problems sooner or later. (See my last three photos for what this looks like BEFORE servicing.)Don't buy these with a wish & prayer that it works okay just because "motor powers on, " "reels turn, " "runs okay but can't test it, " or because it's been sitting undisturbed in its box since Nixon was re-elected. You may be buying a $60 paper-weight.
Demand photos of the inside!
I service these projectors for the buyer who wants to pull it out of the box and immediately begin playing their films with NO surprises. I service these projectors for nostalgia lovers like myself who want to experience their old movies the way they were originally experienced. The only variable will be the life of the lamp which, as a NOS/vintage item, I cannot predict. (When my first projector lamp expired, I bought the halogen replacement module made by *hardluckcharlie* on Ebay and I've never had to replace it again.)
Your projector will be very securely packed and double-boxed. I take no chances on packing thoroughly and I've never had a problem. Even so, I will FedEx your projector with up to $300 of declared-value insurance.
If you want to just plug & play, and go back in time, this projector will take you there.
