Originally designed for the U.S. Navy a few cameras were consigned to  the the British army. (see photo 12) with King George and Gen. Montgomery admiring the camera).,  it is  Extremely Solidly Built,   Easy to Focus and wind camera.
The Medalist is capable of  taking detailed photos unattainable with Leicas or other 35 mm cameras. The 2 1/4 X 3 1/4 inch format  permits very detailed enlargements of enormous size.
The Superb Coated Ektar Lens is clean no scratches, cleaning marks or fungus, there is a slight amount of internal dust. I am confident it will produce excellent results.

The Black Fine  Pebble-Grained  Genuine Morocco Leather covering is complete and in Superb Condition.  Only the slightest signs of age and careful handling.. The  Satin Chrome body has no dents, dings or scratches and only a very few light bright marks and evidence of very careful handling.
Really Incredible for an Almost 75 year old camera.
The image in the viewfinder is Very bright and the"Magnifying Rangefinder " is very bright and Accurate.

The Medalist was one of the Very First cameras with "Parallex Correcting" Viewfinder!!  No "Cut-Off"  heads on close-ups!  Internally the camera is very clean.
There are no indications that the camera has been  used with film. In fact it still has the Original film spool (Photo 9).
I had the Medalist  cleaned, lubricated and adjusted by a highly qualified camera repair expert just before listing.  Please see all photos of the actual camera for condition. It has  always been stored correctly.

It is practically unknown that the Medalist camera was derived from Walter Dorwin Teagues original design for the Kodak Microfocus 620 (See photo 10 & 11 ). It was only produced in 2 prototype examples.
The basic "Teague" body design is identical to the Medalist and the camera evolved, under the hands of Josef Mihaly, Also designer of the legendary Kodak Super Six-20 and Kodak Ektra, The Medalist has the same possibilties for "microfocusing" with the Large Winding Knob. Focusing is Very Accurate from 3 1/2 feet to Infinity!
The camera comes with a Fresh Roll of Ilford Delta ASA 400 620 film  and is "Ready to Use".
