This vintage Apple laptop was top of the line in the mid 1990s, selling for more than $4, 500. It is still in working order. The screen shots shown were taken to prepare this listing.
However, the startup can be erratic at times. Leaving it off for a while usually does the trick. However, we are NOT computer experts and this package is sold AS IS. Now running Mac OS 7.6.1. Other useful programs are also loaded. This powerbook has a nice color screen with no pixels missing and excellent stereo sound. It has a built-in Global Village Modem and a 3.5 floppy drive. The docking station has all the cables and will allow SCSI and other devices to be hooked up. The case is clean with no cracks. A very functional powerbook that is great for writing, email, and a little web with or without a cord plugged in.
This 540C is Power PC upgradeable and the upgrade cards can be found on Ebay from time to time.
This is as complete a Blackbird package as you are going to find, short of an unopened original box.

1. ALL the original manuals and documentation, to include an unused registration card and even the packing list!
2. All the original Apple 3.5" installation disks, to include Disk Tools
3. Original Global Village PowerPort 500 Modem software disks and upgrades
4. Original purchase documentation from November 1994.

7. Because they are so hard to find for this model, we are also including TWO EXTRA (total of 3) PowerBook AC adapters (and an extra video cable, attached to the dock)..

This 540C also comes with a BOOKENDZ DOCKING SYSTEM and all the cables: video, SCSI, modem, etc.
NOTE: The two included batteries are not working. This unit has not been used in portable mode for a while, so batteries are drained down and will probably have to be replaced. They are usually available on the internet.
