Early H. Handwerck Antique Bisque Head 79 Doll, 16", Perfect !. Antique German bisque head doll by Heinrich Handwerck, circa 1890. She is 16"" tall and has a perfect bisque head with no hairlines, cracks or repairs. Her head is only marked 79-10 so she was made before dolls had to be marked Germany. The doll has an unusual solid plaster pate and most likely original golden blonde, human hair wig. She has feathered blonde eyebrows and deep blue sleep eyes with painted u...pper and lower lashes and hair upper lashes. Her ears are pierced through the earlobes, very tricky and difficult !Her earrings do appear to be original. She has an open moth with 4 upper teeth, and a chin dimple. There is one tiny wig pull on her upper forehead, covered by her wig. The doll has her original, very heavy composition and wood body in good condition. One finger has been glued. The stringing is ok. The doll is very nicely dressed in a mixture of antique and vintage clothing. She has antique stockings and nice antique oilcloth shoes with heels. Her vintage lace trimmed chemise, bloomers and half slip all match. The vintage dress is of dotted swiss, but the lovely silk and embroidered lace bodice is definitely antique. her bonnet looks more recently made of antique fabrics and laces. Ask any questions. I will pack carefully and stuff the inside of the head. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
