Antique Oak Rolltop Desk Gorgeous

This late Victorian desk has been in the family for a very long time! Good, but not perfect condition. It is 51” wide x 30 3/4” deep x 50 1/2”high. 30” from floor to writing surface. Cannot find a makers mark. Hand-cut dovetail joints. Middle section of writing surface lifts up and folds down to reveal metal brackets, presumably for a typewriter (not included). The top disconnects, and the base comes in two sections. Lock and key are included (both work) but you can see there w...as some damage to the lock site when someone must have locked themselves out. This can be repaired, but the decorative gold lock plate is missing. it has been refinished at one point, but could use restoration as the sides appear to need refinishing especially.Twin pedestal with single drawers and double filing drawer in the bottom right pedestal, tambour roll top with fitted interior of small drawers & pigeon holes. Original roll top works great.All drawers slide smoothly and the desk itself shuts securely when the roll is down. The desk at present is as shown on the photos however it is easily dismantled for transport purposes and awkward doorways etc Breaks down into three main sections for easier transportation.. Locking mechanism behind drawers is made of wood levers and pegs- very cool!Must be picked up, delivery not available.
