Large Early 20th Century Chinese Porcelain Blanc de Chine Statue Figurine of Kwan Yin Being offered is a large early 20th Century Chinese Blanc de Chine porcelain statue figurine of Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. This is one of the largest ones that we have had the pleasure of owning over the years. The statue was acquired over 45 years ago at an antiques show in San Francisco, California. We loved her peaceful and serene face and her elegant, flowing gown. She is holding in one ...hand a lotus flower and leaf with their stems. The other hand is removable and sometime in the past has had her forefinger broken off and is now missing. She is standing on a lotus leaf pedestal, the front of which is decorated with more 3 dimensional lotus flowers, leaves and stems. We did not find any marks or signatures on this piece. Please review all the photographs for more details. She is a beautiful statue and will be a great addition to any collection or Asian décor.Measurements: The statue figurine stands approximately 18 inches in height. From the end of her gown to the opposite side of the lotus leaf pedestal, she measures approximately 5 34 inches wide. The bottom of the pedestal is approximately 4 12 inches in diameter. All measurements are approximate, but close.Condition: We examined the stature carefully and the only issue we can report is the tip of her index finger has been broken off and is missing. Other than that, NO Chips, Cracks, Scratches, Repairs or Restorations were noted. There are about 4-6 tiny pin head size or smaller dark spots here and there on the surfaces that were in the making of this piece. They do not distract from the beauty of the statue but are mentioned only for accuracy. Please review all the photographs for more details.
