Greg Randolph's Bike.
"At the start of the U.S. Olympic cycling trials in Seattle, Greg Randolph was given virtually no chance of competing in Atlanta this summer '96.Randolph, 23, didn't think he could make it, either."I just can't believe it, " he said. "I feel like I just won the Miss America pageant."After all, he is in only his third year of serious competition ...after taking a break from studies at the University of Oregon."The Olympic trials (goal) wasn't making the team, but making a future, " he said last night. In one of the biggest surprises in U.S. cycling in recent memory, Randolph, who competed for a Seattle club for the past two years, was selected to ride in Atlanta with Lance Armstrong, Frankie Andreu, George Hincapie and Steve Hegg, some of America's premier athletes.Armstrong, Andreu and Hegg automatically qualified through the selection process. Hincapie and Randolph, Armstrong's Motorola teammates, were picked by U.S. coaches yesterday. Hegg is the only Olympian not riding for Motorola."We need engines, " said Chris Carmichael, U.S. national coaching director. "(Greg's) shown us a lot in a short amount of time."Randolph, who represented Seattle's top club, Ray's Boathouse, the past two seasons, rode brilliantly in the trials. On Aug-24-19 at 08:44:19 PDT, seller added the following information:Bike measures 55/56 based on top tube, seat tube, stand over heights/lengths.
