Life size, about 12" tall by 10" ear to ear. Pair of odd and highly unusual c. 1930's vintage american art deco style cast aluminum "pirate mask" interior illuminated figural wall sconce purported to have been salvaged from an old coney island amusement park sideshow or vaudeville theater. the grimacing face features hollowed eyes, handlebar mustache and considerable tooth loss is both comical and a little intimidating. the pirate comes equipped with two large earrings and a studded ba...ndanna for added effect. retains the original leviton socket and cloth cord wiring. the pierced openings are covered with the original amber glass to conceal and/or control the intensity of the light source. features an allover crazed and heavily faded gold enameled finish. the exact fabricator is not known.
