This is a stunning early 18th century bobbin lace collar or sleeve ruffle with a design of tulip vases, 12 vases across the length in total, all slightly different in design. Tulip vases, usually blue and white, became popular in the late 17th / early 18th century, to show single blooms of the expensive and collected flowers - I've not found them celebrated in a lace design before now. Neck edge measures147 cms, depth at centre 17 cms. Mid ivory colour. Some slight age browning but... in general good condition.
