Offered for your consideration is a pair of Definitive Technology two-way, four driver crossover networks that were original equipment in my SR-8040BPbipolar surround speakers, manufactured c.2010. The SR-8040BP’s used two heavy-magnet, poly-cone 3½” mid/bass woofers (6Ω nominally-rated) crossed-over to two 1” aluminum dome tweeters (8Ω rated) per cabinet, with the driver pairs firing in opposite directions per cabinet.So, please see my large photos ...and read the remaining description to decide if these capable Definitive dividing networks should be yours. This pair of Definitive Technology crossover networks is in clean, excellent condition. There are no cracks or scratches on the faceplate assemblies. Plus, they feature large capacitors, resistors, and heavily-wound copper inductors. Also, the heavy-duty, gold tone-plated +/- binding post input terminals actuate smoothly, hold speaker cable very tight, and are conveniently angled for “fiddle-free” connections. And, I’ve bound the thick driver wires neatly into pairs for the new owner’s convenience. These crossovers are in great overall shape. Most importantly, they were recently pulled from fully-tested SR-8040BP speakers and were working perfectly beforehand. Lastly, if being considered for a speaker-building project, the faceplates measure 3⅝” x 3⅛” with components extending nearly 2” into the cabinet.As pictured and described, this pair of Definitive bipolar speaker crossover networks is offered at a competitive price.
