This is a used motor which I obtained in a parts lot a while ago - suitable for Teac 3300, 3340, 3440 and similar models as far as I know.
Repair:
Someone cut off all the wires right at the motor casing - fortunately I'm handy with a soldering iron, so I set out to attach new wires (last three photos). Contacts and brushes were also gently cleaned. Before reassembling the motor..., I added a few drops of sewing machine oil for good measure, then carefully put everything back together.
The black wires (originally brown) are the tacho wires for speed control. The red and white wires carrying DC power are now red and yellow - the green wire is a ground wire connected directly to the metal casing. (I wasn't sure whether it was needed, but it couldn't hurt to add it.) The wires should be more than long enough to connect to a tape deck's servo board.
Testing:
The motor spins freely without resistance, and works - tested with a 9V battery, it spins both ways and even puts up a nice little bit of torque, even though it's meant to run on 24V.
Low opening bid - this is your chance to get a (sold as-is but) known working replacement motor without breaking the bank. Thanks for looking!
