This is the Frederick A. Stokes undated hardcover publication of Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass (271 pages), in poor condition, but with the 12 full page Kirk color illustrations unfaded and clean.
The detached cover has a number of scuffs and shallow edge wear, including bumps to the outside corners. The binding is poor inside, with the first and last few leaves connected to the cover but not to the rest of the text. I believe no pages are missing.There is a gift note, i...n ink, on the front end page, dated 1926. There is no other writing, nor are there any stamps or like attachments. There are recurrent light stains, most small, none obscuring the text or art. The Tenniel illustrations, and the 12 full page color illustrations by Kirk, are unfaded and clean (see photos). In short, this is a heavily worn, poorly bound copy with its illustrations in good condition.
